Do you think kids are maturing faster these days?

I'm not old myself, but a lot of kids these days date,swear, have phones, iPods and so on. I saw my younger sister's friends who are like, 10 and they all swear like crazy. They all somehow have boyfriends and they all have iPods and phones. It was such a shock to me because when I was their age, swearing was a huge no-no. Dating was like...cooties. For entertainment we never had those things either. I was pretty fascinated with chalk. It's like...wow.
