Is it okay if I use makeup that I bought in 1987?

I haven't worn makeup in many years, and I just started to wear it again. Is it okay to use makeup that I have had since 1987? I have never let anyone else use any of my makeup, so I know it does NOT have "cooties" Is it okay to use it??
