I need help with a guy I really like! Story is a bit long but 10 POINTS FOR BEST ANSWER!!!!!!?

After reading your ENTIRE story I have come to the conclusion that he likes you a lot. All you needed to write was the last several sentences, but the whole story only further strengthens my opinion. One crucial detail that you seem to have left out is whether or not he has had any girlfriends and how serious they were. If he's had multiple, multiple girlfriends, (like at least 4) than he probably doesn't Love you or anything. But you having known him for 7 years as a good friend is probably a sign that he likes you a lot, especially if he hasn't had many or any girlfriends. He just sounds like the shy type of person, and I would be a little surprised if he has had a serious girlfriend because of that. That being said, since he is shy, you should probably ask him out to homecoming next year (I'm lost on whether your a junior or sophomore right now). And don't sever communications with him during the summer, because that is the easiest time for your relationship with him to blossom, or for his relationship with someone else to grow(don't let that happen). He sounds like a nice guy and if you truly like him a lot you'll instigate the relationship. Text him every week or so, go to the movies with him, maybe even six flags. Don't go by yourself though. If your on good terms with your family, take them with you to six flags and get the "meeting the parents" thing over with. Go on double dates with your friend Sarah. In our generation's age, a girl asking a guy out isn't bad or even uncommon. Take the step before someone else does.
